SaaS Quick Ratio Mathematical Architecture

The Quick Ratio Formula

SaaS Quick Ratio = (New MRR + Expansion MRR) ÷ (Churned MRR + Contraction MRR)

Originally coined by venture capitalist Mamoon Hamid, this ratio answers: "For every dollar of recurring revenue that walked out the door, how many dollars did our go-to-market engine bring in?"

Industry Tiers (Bessemer Benchmarks)

• > 4.0x: Elite / Hypergrowth. Product-market fit is overwhelming and retention is high.
• 2.0x - 4.0x: Healthy sustainable growth typical of venture-funded SaaS.
• < 2.0x: Leaky bucket. Capital is wasted acquiring customers who churn within 6-12 months.
